Stakeholders in Dengi and Kanem local government areas of Plateau state have been charged to contribute their qouter towards ensuring peace and stability in the area.
The Village Head of Sabon Layi in Dengi Local government Malam Yakubu Abubakar made the call while turbaning seven ilistrious sons of the areas at his palace.
Malam Yakubu Abubakar said the move became necessary considering the fact the Sabon Layi communities shared border with the two local government councils in Bauchi state.
The Village Head further called for concerted effort between the two states to fish out unscroplous elements among them.
He also appealed to those turbaned to desist from anything that would tarnishing their image and that of the area.
While commending them for their selfless services to the humanity, Malam Yakubu Abubakar also implored them to be the vanguard of progress in their communities.
He used the medium and called on Plateau and Bauchi state governments to provide the communities with social amenities to improve their standard of living condition.
Responding on behalf of the turbaned, Zinariyar Sabon Layi Malama Masa’uda Adamu Abubakar thanked the village head for considering them worthy of the traditional tittle and assured their readiness towards supporting the communities of Sabon Layi for the overall development of the area.
Those turbaned are, Malama Masa’uda Adamu Abubakar as Zinariyar Sabon Layi,Harira Abdullahi Magajiya and Malam Yakubu as magajin Garin Sabon Layi among others.
