Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammed of Bauchi State says previous leadership of wikki tourist have failed to deliver the mandate of uplifting the team performance.
Consequently, the Governor has also reassured his support to the interim management committee of the state owned football club to return back to elite top flight league next season.
He disclosed this when he received in audience the Interim Management Committee of the club and other agencies of the Ministry of Youths and Sports led by the Commissioner Mohammed Salis Gamawa on a congratulatory visit over his victory at the Supreme Court recently.
He said Wikki Tourists fc has remained one of his top priority areas and will continue to remain so.
The Governor commended the performance of the club so far in Nigeria National League and vowed to ensure that it gain promotion back to the premier league.
Earlier in his address the Commissioner of Youths and Sports Mohammed Salis Gamawa said the visit was to congratulate the Governor on his recent victory at the Supreme Court.
Salis said his Ministry will forever remain grateful to the Governor for his unwavering support for its programmes assuring to justify the confidence reposed in them.
A member of the Interim Management Committee Umar Saidu in a brief remark expressed gratitude to the Governor for making Wikki Tourists fc one of his priorities.
Team captain Mohammed Idris Guda while congratulating the Governor on his recent victory at the Supreme Court pledged the player’s commitment to work harder until the target is achieved.
