The Independence National Electoral Commission (INEC) has promised to conduct a free, fair, credible, and peaceful election ahead of February 3rd bye and rerun elections in Bauchi state.
The Bauchi state INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner Muhammad B. Nura gave assurance while delivering a welcome address at a stakeholders meeting held at Professor Mahmood Yakubu Conference Hall, INEC State Office.
He said the meeting is part of preparation for the successful conduct of the election, highlighting that the election is not different from the 2023 general election.

The INEC commissioner announced that the state office had received all nonsensitive and sensitive election materials and has distributed them to the affected areas.
He hinted that three days of training for ad-hoc personnel has rounding up simultaneously across the affected LGAs and personnel are mostly members of NYSC who will work at the Polling Units.
Muhammad Nura said the elections will be conducted using BVAS for accreditation, authentication, and result upload to the IReV.
