Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has flagged off the construction of a 2.6km township road in Jama’are local government area of the state.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, the Governor said the award for the contract for the construction of the township road is to open up the area for both agricultural and economic activities.
He appreciated the people of Jama’are local government area for their support to his administration and promised that the administration will not relent in investing in the sector for infrastructure development.
On his part, the Emir of Jama’are, Alhaji Nuhu Ahmed Wabi expressed gratitude to Governor Bala Mohammed for the road project and pledged their unalloyed support and cooperation for the smooth execution of the project.
Meanwhile, Governor Bala Mohammed has called communities across the state to leverage on his administration’s construction of rural roads by embarking on massive agricultural production for improved food security of the state and the nation in general.
He made the call at the breaking ceremony for the construction of Rural roads in Shira Local Government Area and said that the project would not only improve quality of lives of people of the area, but equally improve access and evacuation of farm products as well as boost economic activities.
He pointed out that lack of access roads in communities had stagnated development in rural areas of Shira Local government, hence the need for his administration to prioritize rural communities for the overall development of the state.
Earlier, the Commissioner, Ministry of Works and Transportation, Ibrahim Galadima explained that the 29KM road will Link agrarian communities of Galdimari, Beli and Zigau, adding that the road construction was designed to make rural dwellers comfortable and open up communities for Agricultural development.
