The District head of Burra in Ningi local government Alh Ya’u Shehu Abubakar, has embarked on sensitization campaign to Musussuka, one of the communities suffering from the activities of insecurity.
Alh Ya’u Shehu Abubakar, during the meeting with stakeholders and members of the community in explained that he was directed by the emir of Ningi, to conduct the exercise.
He lamented the involvement of Fulani, a decent and historical tribe in Africa, into the activities of kidnapping and banditry.
The District head maintained that as descendents of Usman Dan Fodio, Fulanis should desist from doing anything capable of tarnishing their good image.
Alh Shehu Abubakar, suggested for dialogue as the one and only option of settling any dispute, pointing out that in some cases a minor misunderstanding leads to loss of lives.
The traditional ruler therefore, warned them against anything that may cause mayhem and to refrain from associating themselves with criminal groups syndicates with the view to live in peace, harmony and tranquility.
He said no any meaningful achievement can be achieved without peace hence the need for all and sundry to embrace peace.
In his welcome address the Village head of Bashe, commended the chairman Ningi local government, the emir of Ningi, the District head Of Burra and the security operatives for their concern in the war against insecurity.
He said all the successes recorded were no doubt achieved following their unrelenting efforts to ensure an insecurity free area.
Some of the members who spoke pledged their readiness to report any suspicious movement to security personnel, and assured they will avoid harboring anyone they don’t know in their midst.
BRC reports that several cases of kidnapping and banditry have been recorded in Musussuka village of Burra axis in Ningi local governmentarea.
In 2023 Millions of naira were paid to kidnappers as ransom while many people lost their lives as a result of attacks and assault by the gunmen.
