Bauchi SUBEB depends its 2024 fiscal year estimate before House committee on education

The State Universal Basic Education Board has pledged to ensure effective and smooth running of Basic Education Sector in the State.

The Permanent Secretary of the board Alhaji Sale Yakubu Ningi stated this to newsmen after depending the board’s 2024 fiscal estimate before the house committee on education.

He said the board has mapped out plans in the proposed budget to ensure conducive learning environment for both teachers and the pupils.

Sale Ningi said SUBEB would provide enough teaching and learning materials to basic schools across the state apart from constructing and renovating classrooms for the educational development of the state.

In another development, the Chairman State House of assembly committee on security Garba Lawal has called for community and religious harmony for peaceful coexistence in the state.

He made the call in an interview with state assembly correspondents.

According to him, no meaningful development would be achieved in a chaotic situation, hence the need for the people of the state to tolerate one another in respective of political and religious differences.

Garba Lawal commended the state lawmakers for the harmonious working relationship existing between them and the state executive.

While reaffirming the state Assembly’s resolve in sustaining it corporate social responsibilities, the lawmaker enjoined the management staff of the newly established state ministry for security and internal affairs to work in synergy with security agencies operating in the state for peace to reign.
