Bauchi State Govt proposes over 44billion to Ministry of Health

The State government has proposed over 44billion naira to the state ministry of health fro effective and quality health health services.

The State Commissioner for Health Dr. Adamu Sambo stated this during the ministry’s twenty twenty four Budget defence at the state assembly complex.

He said the ministry’s proposed 2024 budget centered on four thematic areas of infrastructures, provision of Hospital consumables, Hospital equipments and Human resource for health.

Dr. Adamu Sambo restated the Ministry’s readiness to compliment the state government’s efforts of ensuring full implementation of the 2024 proposed budget.

Meanwhile, the Bauchi state Hospital Management Board says it will focus in the 2024 budget on human resource for health for improve health care service delivery.

The chairman of the Board Dr. Muhammad Sambo Alkali stated this in an interview with state assembly correspondents after the Board budget defence.

According to him, the ideas is geared towards addressing the shortage of skilled manpower in the health sector of the state.

He said state government has taken it upon it self to ensure that all issues related to human resource for health is captured in the 2024 state budget.

Responding, the chairman House committee on health Dauda Lawal advised the health Ministry, its agencies and parastatals to be transparent and ensure accountability in dealing with funds allocated to them.
