Bauchi State Govt. house press crew holds 3-day retreat.

In an effort to ensure professionalism in promoting policies and programmes of Bauchi State Government, members of the State Government House Press Crew have undergone a three day retreat on the emerging trends in media practice.

The retreat with a theme “Press Crew Members and Tasks of Effective Coverage of Government Policies and Programmes in the emerging challenges of 21st Century Journalism” was informed by the state government’s determination to improve capacity of the Press Crew.

Declaring the retreat open at Jos, the Plateau State Capital Governor Bala Mohammed said fostering a better collaboration between government and media in the state remained the commitment of his administration.

Bala Mohammed represented by the Bauchi State commissioner ministry of information and communication comrade Usman Garba Danturaki expressed commitment to not only the welfare of working journalists but encouraging productivity.

In a remark, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity Comrade Muktar Gidado who urged the participants to take full advantage of the opportunity provided them commended Governor Bala Mohammed for approving the retreat.

In their Goodwill Messages, the Director Press and Public Affairs to the Plateau State Governor Mr. Gyang Bere and representative of the State Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Mr. Pam Musa while describing the initiative as apt called on others to emulate.

Speaking on behalf of the participants, Chairman of Bauchi Government House Press Crew John Habila Mure of the Bauchi State Television Authority BATV assured to used the knowledge acquired in a manner that would add value to their daily reportage.
