Bauchi State Government will provide a new environmental policy for effective and proper conduct of monthly environmental sanitation across the State.
The State Commissioner Ministry of Housing and Environment Danlami Ahmed Kawule made this known while inspecting this month environmental sanitation exercise in Bauchi Metropolis.
Danlami Ahmed Kawule said the new policy when implemented would address some grey areas and ensure full compliance.
According to him, in the new policy, all environment stakeholders would be involve in decision making process on the conduct of the monthly environmental sanitation exercise.
Also speaking the new State Director General state environmental protection agency Dr. Mahmud Mohammed Bose expressed satisfaction with the turnout of members of the public to participate on the monthly sanitation exercise.
Dr Mahmud Bose said when the new State environmental sanitation policies commences, community and public sector leadership would also be fully involved in administration of monthly sanitation exercise across the state.
The Director General called on members of the public to continue observing the monthly sanitation exercise as directed.
Also speaking, the Chairman Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association Muda Lawal Market Bauchi, Alhaji Salisu Alin Bababa commended BASEPA for assisting them with sanitation working tools.
He commended the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed for giving priority to environmental issues and prayed for the success of the new BASEPA Director General.
Places visited during the monthly sanitation exercise are CBN round about , Kofar Fada , Central market ,Awalah roundabout as well as Yankari Quarters.
