Bauchi State Gov to pay leave grant for local government civil servants.

BY MUSLIM LAWAL:

Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir says his administration will pay Local Government civil servants across the state their leave grant.

The Governor stated this at the Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar Hajj Camp where he hosted top civil servants, leadership of the Organized Labour as well as other stakeholders for Ramadan breakfast.

According to him, the government and people of Bauchi State appreciated the dedication, zeal and commitment of the workforce, describing them as the engine room for execution of meaningful projects for development.

On the number of challenges in the civil service, the governor expressed concern on the ongoing fraudulent activities in the system especially the ghost worker syndrome despite the relentless efforts of his administration to tackle the issue.

In a remark, the head of civil service, Yahuza Adamu Ningi commended the Governor for improving the working and living condition of the civil servants in the state through renovations of offices in MDAs as well as prompt payment of salary in the state.

He therefore urged the state civil servants to replicate the gesture by supporting the implementation of policies and programmes of the present administration in state.
