Bauchi PASAN elects news officials.

The Bauchi state chapter of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) has elected officials to man the affairs of the council for the next four years.

The Chairman electoral standing order Committee Abdullahi Ladan said the election was conducted free, fair, credible and transparent.

Abdullahi Ladan commended all PASAN members for showing maturity throughout the process of the election and advised the new officials to do everything possible to protect the rights of PASAN members.

According to him, Adamu Yusuf emerged as PASAN Chairman after scoring 39 votes to defeat Ahmed Ali Tiffi who scored 24 votes and Suleiman Yakubu with five votes while Danlami Muhammad Auwal was elected as vice chairman unopposed.

He said other elected officials include Shehu Munkaila assistant Secretary, Haruna Abdullahi Financial Secretary, Musa Abubakar Treasurer, Abdullahi Muhammad welfare secretary and Abdullahi T. Hashim Social Secretary.

The rest are Babangida Shehu internal Auditor, Hassan Muhammad Publicity Secretary,
Suwaiba K. Botoson women leader and Muhammad Ahmed Ex-officio while Lawal Sani was elected as secretary of the Association.

Addressing members of the Association before the election, the Bauchi state chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress Comrade Dauda Shu’aibu represented by comrade Dahiru Aliyu Dadi said the election is a constitutional mandate and provision of the Association after every four years.

Comrade Dauda Shu’aibu who described PASAN as the engine room of the state assembly, appealed to the state government and the state assembly leadership to provide the Association with vehicles and other needs to discharge its duties effectively.
