The Bauchi State Deputy Governor, Mohammed Auwal Jatau has reaffirmed his support and loyalty to Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed to enable him deliver quality democratic dividends to the citizenry.
He made this known at a summit for Serving Deputy Governors of Nigeria and the 2023 National Conference of the Forum of Former Deputy Governors of Nigeria (FFDGN) held at Ball Room, Fraser Suites, Central Business District, Abuja.
Auwal Jatau said his support, cabinet members and other stakeholders, the Governor has made significant strides in promoting good governance and enhancing the welfare of the people of the state.
He noted that, one of the key sectors focused by the state government is the provision of quality education, saying education is the cornerstone of progress and development as it equips future generation with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute meaningfully to the growth of the nation.
The Deputy Governor also said the present administration in Bauchi state, has increased investments in education, infrastructure, teachers training, and curriculum development to ensure that children receive the best possible education.
He said the theme of the conference, “Enhancing the Delivery of Quality Democratic Dividends in Nigeria,” resonates with the aspirations of the Nigerian people, saying as public servants, it is their duty to ensure that the dividends of democracy reach every citizen, regardless of their social status or geographic location.
According to him, in Bauchi, the state government recognised the importance of accountable and transparent governance, hence the need to remain focused in the implementation of various initiatives to promote good governance and block leakages.
