The Bauchi State Deputy Governor and State Chairman Boundary Commission, Muhammad Auwal Jatau has assured readiness to provide a lasting solutions that will address the border encroachment between Bauchi and Jigawa States.
Auwal Jatau made this known when he led a team from National Boundary Commission (NBC) on a field compilation exercise between the affected communities of Darazo and Ganjuwa local councils of Bauchi state and Gwaram local government area of Jigawa State.
Auwal Jatau represented by his Special Assistant on Boundary Matters, Alhaji Ahmad Garba said present administration under the leadership of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammad is determined towards finding lasting solution to the border disputes in the state, hence the need for affected communities to support and pray for his administration with a view to provide them dividend of democracy.
To this end, The representative of the Director General, National Boundary Commission (NBC) Mr. Rayyanu Muhammad Zaidu assured of the commission’s readiness to discharge its duties effectively for peaceful coexistence and national development.
The inspection team was also at the Shira/Gwaram Sector on a similar purpose.
