Bauchi Concerned Group calls on the Senate leadership to withdraw suspension on the Abdul Ningi.

The Bauchi State Amalgamation of Concerned Group has condemned the decision of the senate for suspending the Senator representing Bauchi Central Senatorial district, Abdul Ahmed Ningi.

The Group also called on the senate leadership to withdraw the suspension of Senator Ningi and tender an apology to the Senator and the people of Bauchi Central Senatorial district whom he is representing.

The Chairman of the Group Comrade Umar Sa’id Maigamo stated this during a press conference held at the NUJ Secretariat Bauchi.

He said the aimed of the conference is to further make clarification to the public on the issues regarding the alleged twenty twenty four budget padding claimed by the Senator which necessitates his suspension by the senate.

Comrade Umar Maigamo revealed that Senator Abdul Ningi alleged that the sum of three point seven trillion naira could not be traced to any projects or location in the twenty-twenty four budget, stressing that, the senator’s assertions was corroborated by several professional groups, including Budget foundation, a renowned civil society organization promoting accountability and transparency in Public spending in Nigeria.

He said the group is demanding for immediate investigation into the allegation of five hundred million naira given to some selected ranking Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as well as the twenty-twenty four budget should be reviewed and anomalies therein be corrected with immediate effect.

The Chairman recalled that, the Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced the suspension of Senator Ningi for three months.
