Bauchi ACReSAL and Focal NGO Committed to Successful Project Implementation

Bauchi State Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi Arid Landscape ACReSAL and the Savannah Institute for Sustainable Development, the project’s focal NGO have expressed commitment to ensure successful implementation of the Agro-climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes project in the state.
The meeting focused on the engagement of the Focal NGO to train one thousand youths tagged ” Community Green Vanguard” in green business activities to nurture, grow and maintain general care for Nurseries to be established in all the 20 LGAs of the state with a view to supportibg youths.
Speaking, during the meeting, the State Project Coordinator of ACReSAL, Dr. Ibrahim Kabir reiterated the commitment of the State Project Management Unit towards achieving the project’s objectives of restoring degraded land through massive plantations and other related activities.
Dr. Kabir also highlighted the importance of training community members, particularly youths, in brick making as a form of empowerment to enhance their livelihoods and ensure project sustainability.
The Executive Director of Focal NGO, Mrs. Titi Yakubu, expressed confidence in institutes’s commitment to the project’s success, emphasizing its potential to empower Bauchi’ youths and improve the state’s overall well-being.
Chairman of Savanah Istitute for Sustainable Deelopment, Professor A.Q. Ibrahim, pledged support for greening Bauchi state and enhancing the living standards of its people.
The meeting also addressed the significance of commemorating international days related to agriculture, environment, and water resources.
